Is Hattie Harman Mobilising?
By PAUL WAUGH
Harriet Harman just made a speech on reforms to clean up Parliament in the wake of the MPs' expenses scandal. But maybe just as interesting is her canvassing of Labour party members. In what is being seen by at least one Labour MP as a possible prelude to another leadership bid, Ms Harman's volunteers have been asking the following questions:
"Who do you think is the best person to sell the Labour party?"
Well said Spider.
ReplyDeletehave things gotten so bad that Harperson would stand a chance as PM?
You never know, LSP, but Brown might just get the boot in October and then she'll be going for it tooth and claw, the old harpy!
ReplyDeleteIf they have any sense at all, it won't happen - apart from anything else, her "equality" policies are real vote losers, and every man in the Country would end up packing his bags and leaving, or, perhaps, forget about packing and join the stampede to get out!
They seem set on installing Alan Johnson in the job and I can't see him being much of a threat to Cameron but he's also blotted his copybook a couple of times, most notably by not intervening in the Gary McKinnon extradition proceedings when High Court judges and the European Court of Human Rights have said that he can legally face trial in Britain. The chap has Asberger's syndrome and is no security threat to anyone other that that he really knows his way around computers. They would do better to give him a job rather than wanting to jail him for 70 years which could lead him to commit suicide. I don't believe that the British public will ever forgive Jonson for his cowardice in toeing the party line over his extradition.
Spider, it’s good to see Hattie back in the news again. I have missed her over the last few weeks would assume that she was away getting some colonic irrigation done.
ReplyDeleteMaybe she was also spending some time with her shrink, trying to find out why men hate her and come to terms with it.
I'm glad to see her back, too, AOM, it just hasn't been the same without having her around to target some bile towards - the next few weeks should be good - the silly season seems to have lasted for ages. Oh, wait - it HAS lasted for ages!
ReplyDeleteCan't say I would have fancied the colonic irrigation job!!
Deep down our Hattie envies Phony and relishes the chance to make the big bucks he's on. Always follow the money.
ReplyDelete"Sell" the Labour Party.
ReplyDeleteI know where the whole lot of boybitches could go.
The Harem that Scunnert was advertising a couple of days back!!!
Useless phekking........I've run out of sweary words!!!!
I would like this to happen - Hattie is probably worse for Labour's prospects than Brown, and she couldn't do anything before an election now
ReplyDeleteShe's also a better parliamentarian, and while I detest her politics I can at least respect her for that, as opposed to 'repeat the line' Brown
I guess she's like Kinnock in a way...
The Harpy would be an even bigger disaster than Gordon Brown. Let's hope she challenges him!
ReplyDeleteIMHO, it is to be hoped that Harriet takes over the leadership before the election. As others have asserted, if anything, the Election will be an even greater disaster for Labour with Harman at the helm. Another Kinnock? looks very similar!
ReplyDeleteShe really does fancy herself for that, OR, Prime Minister AND big bucks - the only thing is, to stand any chance of being PM, Gordon needs to get the boot in a few weeks time because no member of the public in their right mind would ever willingly elect her!
ReplyDeleteOne could argue that Harpie saw her current job as a means of surrepticiously campaigning for the top job 'legitimately', without being labelled "disloyal".
ReplyDeleteLet's hope she becomes the new LP head honcho. That'll secure its demise.
"Sell" the Labour Party is such a ridiculous concept, Incoming, to everyone except the Labour Party - they simply refuse to stop kidding themselves and join the real world!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you and Scunnert - sell them all off into sexual slavery to pay for their sins - mind you, some of them might like it!
This shower of shite could make anyone run out of sweary words to describe them - I'm starting to run short myself which is unusual for me.
If Brown is levered out anytime soon, Tarquin, I'd love to see her get the job for exactly that reason. She is completely unelectable, so that does make her just like Kinnock - that should keep them out for decades - nice!
ReplyDeleteSpot on Gigits, I'd been thinking about that and now it looks like it's definitely on the cards - good way to go, perhaps!
ReplyDeleteEdgar, the more I think about it, the more I like that scenario - let's just hope she goes through with it and has the support to pull it off! (Ouch! maybe an unfortunate choice of words where she's concerned)
ReplyDeleteI think you're right about her positioning herself for this very opportunity, Fausty, she's a right devious bitch, after all.
ReplyDeleteShe also wouldn't be able to wreck too much before the election, unlike Brown who wrecks everything he touches, the incompetent twat!
I think she just wants to be called The Leader of the Opposition. She's a shrill shrew and no mistake.
ReplyDeleteYes, I too wonder who will take the helm of the sinking ship. If you look at her photo and squint a little, she looks just like Michael Foot.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, that's a good point GV - I don't want to have to listen to her every week as the sodding opposition
ReplyDeletePerfect scenario would be that they slip below the lib dems
She looks like a mad hatter, I think!
ReplyDeleteShrill and shrew are most certainly two of the right words for her, GV.
ReplyDeleteI like that scenario, Tarquin, having to listen to her every week would completely ruin PMQs.
ReplyDeleteHi, Bunni: Nice one!
ReplyDeleteShe is an utterly bonkers harridan and you caught the Mad Hattie pun, too.
