This comment from the Daily Mail sums up the pathetic Bananaman and how his cowardice has now ensured he will never be Labour leader - the very thought of this wanker in the job was fucking laughable in the first place.
THE REAL LOSER OF THIS PATHETIC PLOT
So Gordon Brown is still Prime Minister, his authority diminished a little further, but his right to remain in No10 until the bitter end apparently unchallenged.
The two pathetic plotters - Geoff Hoon and Patricia Hewitt - gathered no public support from their colleagues. The electorate - who would have been horrified by a divisive Labour leadership contest months before the General Election - will surely welcome their failure.
Ironically, the only minister seriously damaged was the one who the plot's perpetrators probably hoped would replace Mr Brown. David Miliband, the Foreign Secretary, was tested and found wanting.
Brown holds on: The Prime Minister with David Miliband - the man who would succeed him if he would only stop bottling it |
As a senior member of the Government, he had a choice. He could have grabbed this opportunity to topple Mr Brown, demonstrating contemptible disloyalty - and the ruthlessness required in anyone who aspires to be Prime Minister. Or, concluding that this was the wrong moment, he could have backed his leader quickly and unequivocally. The hapless Mr Miliband did neither, dithering all day before issuing a lukewarm statement of 'support'.
This is the third time Mr Miliband has contemplated rebellion and then bottled it. In July 2008, he wrote a provocative newspaper article, before denying that he wanted the top job. And when James Purnell resigned from the Cabinet last year, once again Mr Miliband ducked the opportunity to remove Mr Brown. Yet this is the man who Tony Blair apparently sees as his natural heir. An undistinguished Foreign Secretary, with poor political judgment and, when put to the test, lacking in courage.
Whatever happens to Labour in the future, it's hard to see how Mr Miliband could ever be the right choice to lead it.
There is nothing I can add to this that I haven't already said about the fucking twats in the post below - these idiots really make you proud to be British!
This next video sees Alex Smith of LabourList and Harold Cole, (Tory Bear), discussing the issue on Sky News - Alex Smith's comments are very interesting to say the least - I would even go as far as saying that he is being intentionaly candid.
Hmmm.....see what I mean?
I don't watch telly becuase it is such rubbish :-E and so 20thC. but it seems that bloggers reaction to events is becoming the news itself or is it just lazy journalism? :-P
ReplyDeleteeverybody knows that the reason ghastly Brown remains in post is that Labour has nobody at all who is fit to replace him, except of course Count Mandelson *DONT_KNOW* who is not stupid enough to pick up his own poisoned chalice.
What do we want?
ELECTION
When do we want it?
NOW<span style="text-decoration: underline;">!!!</span>
Perhaps Miliband thought he would keep his powder dry and run when the Labour Party deems its prospects to be higher than they are now.
ReplyDeleteTo the rest of us, he just looks like he bottled it. For the 4th time!
I completely agree, Banned, I spend more time online or reading the papers than I do watching television anymore - it's not generally worth watching because it's either too biased or too dumbed down, both down to pervasive left-wing interference. >:o
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, mate, we seriously need an election right now but we won't get it, of course. :'(
Shit!... I blinked and I missed the coup.
ReplyDeleteJust like the rest of us did, Nickie, if it hadn't been for the lefty MSM going overboard about it, none of us would have been any the wiser! :-D
ReplyDeleteI don't completely understand the rules over there, but it sounds like a few people really blew it. The one guy is right, If you can have an election ... have it. Get another Margaret Thatcher in there.
ReplyDeleteBottler Milipede i na bottler government.
ReplyDeleteThey blew it big time, Odie, but every cloud has a silver lining - they have totally destabilised Brown and the Labour Party in the process! ;) :-D If only there was another Margaret Thatcher figure in the Conservative Party, we could look forward to restoring Britain with certainty - unfortunately, Cameron ain't it!! O:-)
ReplyDeleteUseless shower of cowards, the lot of them, James! >:o
ReplyDeleteEvery time Minibrain opens his mouth it's like he trumpets his utter incompetence from the rooftops, Bunni, and anytime I can help, you know you only have to give me a shout. ;)
ReplyDeleteI meant to say about the pic, too, mate, copied and saved! :-D
ReplyDeleteI would have H/T it but can't remember who posted it, possiblt GOT. Anyway, I found it again during a picture search for guess what!
