SMOKING BAN "MARTYR" RELEASED

This week, Nick Hogan was released from prison having served only eleven days of a six month sentence, thanks to the efforts of Old Holborn, Anna Raccoon, and the donations which poured in from all over the blogosphere.

Guy News' Emily Nomates was there for his release.......

Well done everybody!

This is very well done by all the kind and thoughtful, plus generous,
british bloggers!  I'm sure some yanks donated as well.
I'm happy Nick is free.
I also love this second part of this video.
Enjoy your weekend, Spidey  8-)

Thanks, Bunni, the donations came from all over the world, (including America) - and the speed with which they arrived give yet another sign of the growing hatred for Labour and their ridiculously undemocratic policies. ;)

I'll be taking it nice and easy over the weekend - probably chat to you then. :)

Excuse my French but the pricks are not going to have it all their own way and the sphere is one nice little bastion we still have left.  The big thing is not to act for our own kudos but in a cooperative effort.

Well Spidey, the smoking and food Nazis are alive and well. I live in one of the most liberal states in the union, California. We have had that no smoking ban here for almost 10 years. Our argument here was also let the owner decide and warn people entering. Oh no, not good enough. Some non-smoking ass hole might get his feelings hurt. Meanwhile, trans fats are now illegal in restraunts. New York State is concidering outlawing all salt in restraunts. It's fucking everywhere ! :-P

Spot on, James, this has shown just how powerful the blogosphere can be when it's used properly. ;)

Old Holborn and Anna did btilliantly  well :-D  at very short notice, Nicks release was the only thing that mattered and lets hope any future campaign has its finances :-$  sorted properly (away from the cunts at paypal :-P ) and without the unedifying spat with freedom2choose.

Congratulations all round.

Simon Heffer gave it a mention in yesterdays Sunday Telegraph, saying that although he has never smoked in his life he supports both Nick and the campaign that freed him; he is also against the smoking ban in pubs because it IS  causing them to close >:o .

Hi Woody, the Senator proposing to ban salt in restaurant kitchens  might allow you to  self-salt your food at the table which is generous of him, not. Someone might see you in salt-shaker action and go blind from second-hand salinity ;) .

Next it will be supplements. They'll squeeze the legal dose down and down until they're totally useless - then they'll ban them.

The blogosphere and the non-government-funded pressure groups are making them look like the pricks they are. :-D
