Brown Refuses To Answer Heckler's Questions
  

Gordon Brown's promise to answer people's questions during the campaign was queried when he refused to respond to a heckler. As the Prime Minister left London's Centrepoint Ben Butterworth called out: "Can you tell us why our children can't get into any of the state schools of their choice in our area?"

 
Mr Brown had told Sky's political editor Adam Boulton that he was preparing for the leaders' debates by speaking to as many people as possible and listening to their concerns. But Mr Butterworth's shout of "I thought you wanted to talk to the public," seemed to fall on deaf ears.

 
He told Sky News afterwards that he was "very frustrated". 

"Our eldest son is just about to start school and we can't get him into any of the good schools in our area, in south London."
