    Number 8 is close, Nero, like our own power mad politicians, did indeed spend most of his time on the fiddle.  A practice that the population found torturous.

  8. You could be right about number 2, GS, and number 8 is a killer but my favourite is number 1 - he'd have had to be very careful not do do himself a mischief with those porcupines. :-P

  15. Well, I think you're all being jolly unfair to teachers ..

    They do the very best they can to educate kids, given the miniscule amount of time they actually spend in the classroom ..

    You need to take into account all those generous school holidays, "in-service" days, training days, time off for "demos" about non-existent cancellation of new school building projects etc ..

    All of which is time spent not doing what they're being paid for ... >:o

    Answer... well, it must have been in 1939 because by 1940 the UK was already the junior partner.

  20. We have the same problem here, Bunni..... "chavspeak"! They don'tpronounce words with anything even resembling a British accent these days! >:o

    My pleasure, Bunni, Odie reworked my header too, (to get rid of "Labour") and I added lens flare and made the letters a bit more 3D. ;)
